SHRM-CP® & SHRM-SCP® Certifications

The primary objective for this training program is to prepare participants to pass the SHRM-CP®/SCP® credential examination on their first try.

Overview

To achieve business success, HR professionals are increasingly expected to perform at higher levels and to be more responsible for creating and sharing the knowledge that adds value to their organization's capabilities. HR professionals must be prepared to adjust to these challenges and lead their organizations toward achieving their goals by being faster, more effective and more knowledgeable than ever before.

The SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP®) and SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP®) are competency-based certifications that answer these critical needs in the global marketplace.

The SHRM-CP® and SHRM-SCP® certifications signify mastery of the HR competencies and knowledge that are defined in the SHRM Body of Competency and Knowledge (SHRM-BoCK).
The SHRM-BoCK is the basis for the SHRM credentials and:

  • Draws heavily on the SHRM Competency Model.
  • Describes the Behavioral Competencies and HR Technical Expertise needed for effective job performance.
  • Explains what HR professionals need to know and how they apply this expertise to perform effectively at the workplace.

Accreditation

The SHRM-CP® and SHRM-SCP® exams have been accredited by The Buros Center for Testing, a pronouncement that the HR credentials meet the highest standards in testing.
The Buros Center is the premier test review center located at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln; it has reviewed or accredited other well-known tests, including major state educational achievement exams; admissions tests for medical school, law school and graduate school; and licensure exams for physical therapists, clinicians and technicians.
